Located in the middle of the most exciting amusement parks in the nation, Residence Inn Orlando at SeaWorld® is a beautiful 3-star Hotel. In November 2017, Residence Inn selected Hostar to provide a housekeeping solution to service guest rooms quickly and safely - giving housekeeping staff the most space possible while keeping them organized and professional looking in the halls.

Let’s dive into the Residence Inn Orlando at SeaWorld®, the installation of Hostar carts and training of the housekeeping staff.

Residence Inn Orlando at SeaWorld® at 11000 Westwood Boulevard, is located along a strip of amazing attractions, including Disney’s Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and more. The hotel is located just a short walk away from SeaWorld® Orlando and Discovery Cove.

Residence Inn Orlando at SeaWorld® is a resort hotel, known for extended stays as guests vacation at the many amusement parks nearby. The hotel was newly renovated in 2017.

Inside The Hostar Installation

Ryan Stutz, Project Manager at Hostar, lead the three-person Hostar installation team through the opening at the Residence Inn Orlando at SeaWorld®. The entire installation took about three weeks. Personnel needed included Ryan, along with two other staff to assist with the training of managers, room attendants, pick station and restocking.

For the Residence Inn Orlando at SeaWorld®, Hostar installed the Supplier Cart, Collector, and Reserve Cart. The hotel wanted a resort-style housekeeping service, in line with their extended-stay tradition.

“A particular challenge we ran into was a hotel-wide linen shortage,” Ryan said. “When switching from a cartless or another cart system over to Hostar, it can be hard to predict par levels initially. But we were squared away fairly quickly.”

“Previously, Residence Inn Orlando at SeaWorld® had a DIY cart system, so learning the new system with Hostar carts was a huge upgrade,” Ryan added. “The housekeeping staff really enjoyed their new carts.”
